El Cajon is a city in San Diego County in Southern California. El Cajón is Spanish for "The Drawer", relating to it being surrounded by mountains in a nestled valley and that's also how El Cajon got the nickname, "The Big Box." Downtown El Cajon is about 15 minutes from Downtown San Diego, the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego International Airport, Lindberg Field. There is a variety of dining and shopping available.
